UK police arrest suspect in connection with UK police operation on ‘paedophile ring’

Police have arrested a suspect in the alleged paedophile ring that was linked to a Westminster paedophile scandal.

The suspect is understood to be in a Westminster flat.

The investigation is ongoing and a Westminster police spokesman said: “We are continuing to work closely with the Metropolitan Police in this matter and we have no further comment at this time.”

A number of children have been taken from Westminster, including at least two who were believed to have been victims of the Westminster ring, the spokesman added.

In May, police arrested two men at Westminster’s iconic Westminster Abbey, including one who was the subject of a child sex grooming inquiry.

Police have been investigating the Westminster paedophilia ring since 2005 and have been able to trace more than a dozen suspects who were linked to the alleged offences.

More:The suspects were in possession of material on children.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrests.
