Man killed in Air Force uniform crash in NSW

Police have confirmed a man has been killed after his Air Force Uniform was involved in a crash in New South Wales.

The Australian Air Force said the incident occurred around 8.45am (AEDT).

It said a pilot for the Air Force Wing at Parramatta had been taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBW) with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the man was on his way home from a visit to the local airport when he collided with another aircraft and crashed.

“He was on a flight to Parramulla with his partner and a female passenger when the aircraft crashed,” an AAF spokesperson said.

There was no immediate information on the man’s identity or the type of aircraft involved.
